BENDING THE MAP AND BEYOND, is a project with Ray Coyle and Christopher Bruce plus various guest artists from the Chicago jazz and improvised music scene.

The original line-up of Bending the Map consisted of Ted Furman(Spacebrewer) on Electronic Trumpet, Christopher Bruce on Drums/percussion and Ray Coyle on mallets/keyboards/percussion. This line-up performed on various occasions, including a live appearance on W.N.U.R. radio which had the following to say about our performace.

Chicago based electro-acoustic trio 'Bending the Map"feature the mallet percussion and keyboards of Ray Coyle, the drums/percussion of Christopher Bruce and the live electronic manipulations of Spacebrewer.
Bending the Map stretches out into minimalism, ambient music and micro-improv territory. While some pieces are closer to the hypnotic vibrations of experimental psychadelic rock, most of B.t.M's sound is an extension of great improvising electro-acousticians like MEV and AMM.
